The 6 and 7-spring couplings of the Vespa Largeframe models are fixed with a castellated nut. Often the high tightening torque required for powerful engines cannot be achieved with the castle nut.
As a result, the crescent wedge shears off, the coupling hub twists with the metal remains of the crescent on the crankshaft. In this way "secured" on the shaft stub, the entire coupling cannot be detached from the crankshaft as usual simply after opening the castle nut, but in most cases offers bitter resistance. This is where the extractor is particularly valuable.
Puller (Largeframe)
Often the clutch is stuck on the crankshaft stump. With this puller it can be removed quickly and gently.
COMPRESSOR (Small+Largeframe)
Ideal for compressing the coupling. This relieves the load on the retaining ring and the linings can be changed quickly and safely.
